Tadd Brothers, CPA

Tadd Brothers, class of 1991, has been a long-time fixture in the Chico community. While at Pleasant Valley, Tadd was active in student government, serving as the Student Body President. He also lettered in football, baseball, and golf. Upon graduation Tadd enrolled in classes at Butte College and Chico State. While at Butte College, he played two seasons on the golf team.

After his time at Butte College and Chico State, Tadd enlisted in the Navy. He spent the first two years training and attending school in the Navy’s Nuclear Power Program. After graduation, he was assigned to the USS Abraham Lincoln as an Engineering Laboratory Technician. His main job was to provide chemistry and radiological controls on the ship’s two nuclear power plants. During his time on the ship, Tadd was twice deployed to the Persian Gulf, first in 1998, and then again in 2000. During both deployments, the ship was awarded Meritorious Unit Commendations for its support of Operation Southern Watch.

Upon his honorable discharge, Tadd used the GI Bill to attend California State University, Chico, to earn a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and Management Information Systems. As a student at Chico State, Tadd was a member of Beta Alpha Psi, an international honor organization, serving as the President. He was also active with the Business Resource Center where he tutored and mentored first generation college students from diverse backgrounds in core business classes. Tadd later received one of the most prestigious awards at Chico State, the Lieutenant Robert Merton Rawlins Merit Award for outstanding achievements in the classroom and community.

Tadd started his accounting career at a regional accounting firm in Northern California and after 11 years, he left to open his own practice to cater to the individual needs of his clients. His tax and consulting firm provides a full range of accounting and tax services to individuals, businesses, and non-profit.

Tadd continues to remain active in his community, currently serving as treasurer for Chico Noon Rotary, President for Butte Creek Country Club, and as is member of the Enloe Foundation Golf Committee. Most recently he has also joined the Butte College Foundation Board of Directors. Additionally, he recently served on the board of directors, both as the president and treasury for Youth for Change, a non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance the well-being of children, individuals, families, and communities.

He currently resides in Chico with his wife, Mini, and their two daughters, Emerson and Kaitlyn.
